** Term: 13 weeks** Position: Certified Surgical Tech, not certified techs will be considered as well (2 needed)
** Shift: 630-1700/600-230, 5/8's or 4/10's (per greatest dept need), day off varies, Mon-Fri, required to take call two times per week** Desired start date: ASAP** Minimal Requirements: 3.5 years of experience as a surgical tech with travel
** First time travelers must have 5+ years of experience** Large Hospital experience** BLS (AHA) certification** High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist school or equivalent military training, or 20+ years experience as a Surgery Tech** SUMMARY and PURPOSE OF POSITION The Surgical Technologist and/or the Certified Surgical Technologist prepares the room and gathers supplies needed for surgical procedures; delivers instruments to the surgeon and other members of the surgical team intra operatively; may function as second assistant to the surgeon; assists in the proper decontamination of the room, supplies and instruments post operatively. The OhioHealth Bone & Joint Center is a state-of-the-art facility that provides comprehensive advanced treatment for all musculoskeletal (bone, joint and muscle) conditions. Weve added 63,000 square feet to the Bone & Joint Center, designing it with our patients in mind, including private rooms, accessible entrances and free valet parking for our patients. From consultation and X-rays to rehab and surgery, we can provide a full continuum of bone, joint and muscle care in one convenient downtown location. Grant's Bone and Joint center is in need of 1 Intraoperative (OR) surgical techs. The Grant Bone and Joint Center is a fast paced location that handles orthopedics, sportsmedicine, and total joint cases. Candidates must have the ability to scrub total joints as well as other orthopedic cases including but not limited to spines and foot and ankle surgery. Department has a patient census 20-40 cases per day, ASA levels 1-4, Intaroperative scrub/patient ratio 1:1, green scrubs provided by dept daily. May be asked to float to the main OR at Grant OR the new Grove City Hospital if census should drop. Candidate must be flexible, punctual and exhibit stellar customer service skills.
Rate: $52.00 OT Rate: $62.00 On Call Rate: $8.00/HR
