As the Clinical Director of Emergency-Psychiatric Services, you will provide leadership, direction, program planning and clinical expertise to the Emergency Department at Binghamton General Hospital, Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program, and Extended Observation Beds.   Specific responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the effective and efficient delivery of Nursing Services through the management of resource allocation and planning mechanisms in line management and staff capacities.
  • Direct quality improvement projects, patient care referral activity, budgeting, education, program development, strategic planning activities and marketing/networking.
  • Develop and implement care models and programs that results in patient care outcomes exceeding established benchmarks.
  • Implement best practices and programs to prevent hospital acquired conditions in addition to ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations.

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree required.
  • Experience in quality management, performance improvement, and management required.
  • Eight years of progressively responsible relevant clinical experience or MBA with 2-3 years of progressively responsible relevant clinical experience required.
  • MBA or master’s degree in a related field preferred.
