Position Description:



This position assists as a liaison between internal and external referral sources, and rehab operations. The Clinical Evaluator is responsible for establishing relationships with case manager, physicians, payors, and other referral sources. The Clinical Evaluator will ensure appropriate patient placement through clinical assessments and screening in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Medical Director.

Qualifications

Position Qualifications:
  • Current FL RN or, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist Licensure,
  • Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
  • Current BLS Certification as a Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association).
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech language pathology preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years current / recent clinical experience.
  • Proficient with computer knowledge - data input, reporting.
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
