The Community and State Training Team is currently recruiting a Trainer to support the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of New Jersey.
The Senior Trainer will be responsible for the effective delivery of training for new business initiatives, new and existing training programs that encompass training of clinical staff such as nurses, social workers, and medical directors as well as non-clinical staff.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
- Must live within commutable distance to the Iselin New Jersey Office and be New Jersey Choice Certified
- Current unrestricted RN or Social Work license in the state of residence
- 3+ years of clinical experience (i.e., care coordination, service coordination, case management, etc.)
- Experience with adult learning/training, virtual training, instructional design and/or training project management (i.e., performing presentations in person and/or through virtual platforms, classroom training experience, virtual (Teams/WebEx) training experience
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid
- Knowledge of managed care
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Visio), SharePoint and Shared Drives
- Facilitation and presentation skills with the capability to engage, inspire and teach adult learners at all levels
- Ability to create Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, and Workflows
- Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity – can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, comfortably handles risk and uncertainty in a manner consistent with UnitedHealth Group’s core values
- Communicator with skills to flex to different audiences at different levels of understanding and seniority
- Proven ability to develop and present effectively to a variety of audiences
- Ability to travel up to 25%
