CVOR Nurse Board Runner (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurse is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limited to: assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

What you will do in this role:

You will be responsible for members of their designated service line including Registered Nurses, First Assistants, Surgical Technologists, and Second Assistants.

You will be responsible for delivery of perioperative nursing care to surgical patients.

You will perform circulator, scrub and first assistant roles as competent.

You will provide direction and acts as resource to members of the specialty team to ensure comprehensive and safe patient care.

You will maintain full accountability to ensure that supplies and equipment are available to perform cases within their assigned specialty.

You will require interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients and their families, physicians, peers, and any other personnel required for patient care.

What qualifications you will need:

Current RN Licensure, in good standing

Communication and Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with internal and external customers

BLS as required, ACLS/PALS preferred

Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree required

Minimum 5 years clinical experience and 1-2 years progressive management preferred

Certification within area of expertise within 3 years of role acceptance

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
