Position Description
Northside Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator of Oncology Navigation to join our Oncology Support Services team. The Coordinator will be responsible for directing the NHCI Oncology Navigation Program, including supervision of care provided by our Oncology Navigators. We strive to provide best in class care to our patients throughout their journey with cancer, working with them from diagnosis, through treatment, and survivorship. The Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Oncology Quality, and partner with the multidisciplinary care team that is built to beat cancer.

The Coordinator of Oncology Navigation will be responsible for the strategic planning and the growth of our nurse navigation program, with a focus on process improvement as related to standards of care. The Coordinator will focus on quality improvement, patient outcomes and patient satisfaction. The Coordinator will work closely with Support Services, including social work, nutrition, survivorship and community outreach programs.

As an important member of the Oncology Support Services Leadership team, the Coordinator of Oncology Navigation will be responsible hiring and selection of new hires, assisting with their onboarding and orientation processes. The Coordinator will also contribute to the development of clinical competencies, and in evaluation of staff member’s clinical and professional performance. The Coordinator will provide educational opportunities for the Navigation team, and knowledge of hospital policy, procedure and industry regulations and trends are crucial to success in this role.

Position Requirements
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, and a minimum of 3 years prior experience in Oncology. Prior leadership experience is required, with more than 2 years of leadership being strongly preferred
