Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a OR Central Sched Ctr Manager.

In this role, the successful candidate Position Summary:The manager is responsible for all day-to-day operations, management, and business functions of the operating room central scheduling center.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the complete process; beginning with case requests to confirmation of scheduled case including knowledge of all software system applications in conjunction with other resources.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and knowledge of workflow to facilitate the scheduling of cases scheduled in the most efficient manner possible. For example, block time is to be monitored and released time shall be offered to surgeons to accommodate their needs on a continuous basis.
  • Provide internal and external support/customer service to case requests and scheduled cases with call center and field visits as needed.
  • Establish collaborative partnerships among stakeholders to leverage the benefits of standardized tools, people, and centralized activities for an seamless interface to physicians and patients.
  • Establish audits, onsite visits, and performance dashboards to focus on daily and long-term continuous improvement, quality, and service.
  • Provide analysis and reporting structure of utilization and capacity metrics for management.
  • Develop specific clinical education and training both internally and externally as on-going maintenance of scheduling center.
  • Establish communication structure and process to appropriately manage changes in policy and procedure.
  • Develop cross training program and succession planning to maintain knowledge transfer where appropriate shared services and existing operations are provided.
  • Performance duties for the manger must sincerely and positively reflect consideration, concern, and inspire confidence interacting with physicians, physician extenders, patients, other medical staff, and private practices. The manager has high visibility within the organization and department.
  • Manager will be part of the internal nursing leadership team and be involved other responsibilities and projects as needed.
  • In addition, the manager will assist in administration duties of the Director or Vice President as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications:Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered Nurse and appropriate hospital certifications Education: Bachelors degree.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:Previous operating room, supervisory, scheduling, surgical operations, logistics, computer skills, ability to work independently, and practiced in large academic medical center with multiple locations. Strong collaboration and communication skills between multiple departments, hospitals and customers with the ability to lead, coach, mentor, and manage staff. Ability for Individual to assess and take action against performance metrics will be necessary for long-term success and growth for the successful candidate and organization.
