The OR RN is responsible for helping surgeons in the operating room. OR Nurses will prepare the operating room and the patient for the procedure and make certain that all equipment is sterile and operating properly.ResponsibilitiesOperating Room RN responsibilities include:
Monitoring the health of the patient before, during and after the procedure.
Predict what the surgeons need and provide medical instruments and supplies to them during operations.
Collecting and tracking all items needed for lab work.
RequirementsOne year of experience as an OR Registered Nurse within the past two years.
Current Nursing License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
