What You Will Do:

Registered Nurse (RN) - Radiation Oncology - FT/Day - UM @ BWMC

Position Highlights
  • Full-time days, 40 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p
  • Fast-paced environment in facility offset from the main hospital
  • Opportunity to work with high acuity patients
  • Typical day involves wound and skin care, education, contrast administration
  • The center sees roughly 500 new patients annually; busiest Radiation Oncology center in the entire UMMS system
  • Average 48-50 patients per day, wide variety of patient demographics
  • Ability to work with a family-oriented, satisfied and hard-working team
  • Lots of opportunities for teambuilding inside work and outside of work
  • Frequest collaboration with UMMS network of Radiation Oncology Teams

What You Need to Be Successful:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Maryland
  • Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Maryland (or eligible for same if nursing graduate)
  • Successful completion of a refresher course within past six (6) months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past five (5) years
  • 1 year of Oncology or Radiation Oncology RN experience strongly preferred
  • Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required
  • ACLS preferred
  • Ideal candidate is used to a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with multi-tasking and is a self-starter
  • Previous experience using a business office suite, such as Microsoft Office, is required
