The Business Development (Physician) Liaison for Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH) facilitates positive, cooperative business interaction with key stakeholders in the target markets. This is accomplished by relationship development, coordination of programs and services for these stakeholders, coupled with prompt response to stakeholder requests. The Liaison will propose marketing and public relations strategies and solutions and manage the implementation of multiple complex services and products for the (Clinic's) clients.

In addition, the Business Development (Physician) Liaison for BSWH has the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an atmosphere of personalized service through individual contact with key healthcare administrators, physicians, community/business leaders and influential residents in the target market
    - Generate leads through aggressive daily cold calling and independent research to increase referrals
    - Serve as a resource to all office staff and physicians to identify process bottlenecks and solutions
  • Reports: Prepare monthly call reports
    - Maintain a database of physicians/offices visited
    - Produce detailed reports identifying specific referral target audiences and marketing trends, along with marketing campaigns
  • Evaluate market data, competitive information, and financial data to determine effective marketing and public relations strategies to accomplish business goals
  • Marketing/Physician events: Coordinate and attend activities related to physician/community events, utilization and referral patterns including but not limited to new physician orientation, CME conferences, physician office education meetings, advisory groups, focus groups and luncheons
  • Track physician concerns to trend issues for process improvement and customer relationship management. Serve as a liaison between hospital directors/managers and physicians when needed
  • Stay current and adhere to Stark and IRS regulations to maintain and protect system's Medicare/Medicaid certification

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration.
