Position Summary

The Provider Contract Specialist supports the auditing
and configuration of new and existing provider, hospital, and ancillary
contracts. Oversees the auditing and
monitoring of service contracts.
Provides essential expertise to resolve
contract and contract data issues with providers, educate staff/providers on
contract inload process and policies, and collecting credentialing information
and other provider data.

Minimum Requirements

·
Bachelor’s
degree in from an accredited college or university (must provide official transcript at time of interview)

·
Three
(3) years of managed care contract administration experience

·
Two
(2) years of experience assisting with contracting functions

·
Intermediate
proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

Preferred Qualifications

·
Prior
experience in procurement and/or supply chain management within healthcare

Knowledge,
Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics


·
Knowledge
of healthcare service pricing and reimbursement methodologies

·
Knowledge
of, or aptitude to learn, current policies and guidelines that affect
contracts, pricing, etc in the managed care environment

·
Excellent
verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all
levels of staff and a patient population composed of diverse cultures and age
groups

·
Strong
organization and interpersonal skills

·
Demonstrate
attention to detail, accuracy and precision

A copy of a valid State ID Card or Driver’s License
which identifies the holder of the ID as a Veteran, may also be attached to the
application at time of filing.

If
items are not attached, you will not be eligible for Veteran Preference
