Mission: To drive comprehensive, evidenced base clinical practice initiatives and professional development opportunities through collaborative and collective decision making to promote a culture of quality and patient safety at Rochester Regional Health.


Evaluates nursing practices, develops methodologies and implements standards of care, and assesses and addresses patient and staff educational needs. May provide formal or informal education, in area of specialty, for nursing staff and a variety of other disciplines. Will utilize comprehensive knowledge of clinical theory, evidence base practice and new concepts in area of specialty to serve as a resource to nursing staff. Researches, develops, coordinates, and facilitates new concepts, principles and nursing methodologies in area of specialty.

LOCATION: Wegman Center for Workforce Development

DEPARTMENT: Nursing Institute

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or Nursing Education required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in acute care.
  • Teaching/Instructing experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.

  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the total health care of a specific patient population in area of specialty. 
  • Identifies problem situations or issues in patient care.  Analyzes, interprets, advises, and consults with staff and other health care professionals to provide high quality care.
  • Interprets and modifies the system of patient care delivered by evaluating and reviewing standard practices and initiating new procedures.
