Patient Care Director - RN - Pediatric Inpatient Oncology – Days

At NewYork-Presbyterian, oncology nurses are at the forefront of a bold new era in compassionate care. We house one of only 20 National Cancer Institute-designated centers for pediatric Phase I trials in the nation. We pioneered use of low-dose CT scanning for early detection of cancer, and more breakthroughs are on the way. Here, courageous nurses administer chemotherapy, manage symptoms, support patients and educate families, all while serving as the nerve center of extensive multidisciplinary teams.

In this role, you’ll oversee the daily clinical operations for Pediatric Oncology at our Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. You’ll have the opportunity to focus initiatives on our journey to excellence while fostering relationships and engagement in the patient experience. Mentor, supervise and evaluate the team to reach their full potential and inspire continued professional growth. Develop and manage budgets, resource allocation and scheduling. Regularly assess unit operations and identify process improvements to enhance the patient experience. Seize this exciting opportunity to become a transformational leader via shared governance, on our Magnet journey.

You’ll also partner with our senior leaders who encourage and support continuous growth in a collaborative environment. Excel as a change agent, and advance initiatives focused on enhancing quality and performance throughout the unit for a variety of pediatric patients. Make a footprint in your career and lead our path to explore new and innovative oncology procedures.
