In this position as a Patient Care Director, manage all aspects and daily operations of the Pediatric and Psychiatric emergency care at Weill Cornell Medical Center. Join a team where patient satisfaction is at an all time high and was exceeded for 2017. Continue to maintain an autonomous environment that inspires nurses to reach their full potential. Mentor, evaluate and inspire the team's continued professional growth, as well as drive strategic initiatives that shape the future of emergency care to align with hospital wide goals. Work closely with another Patient Care Director and regularly assess unit operations and identify process improvement to enhance the patient experience. Assume front line responsibility for the unit's fiscal performance, resource allocation, scheduling, staff evaluation and patient care delivery on a 24-hour basis.

Preferred Criteria
  • Previous leadership experience in an acute care setting within a large academic medical center
  • Previous Pediatric experience
  • Demonstrated leadership in leading unit development and expansion projects

Required Criteria
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or health related field
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • At least 2 years’ of leadership experience
  • At least 3 years' of clinical experience in an inpatient setting
  • Current NYS RN licensure (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
