Grand Strand Medical Center located in beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC is a 325-bed acute care hospital serving residents of Horry and surrounding counties. Our hospital offers the only cardiac surgery program, neurosurgery program and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) in Horry and Georgetown counties and is a designated Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center by South Carolina DHEC.
Who we are:
Grand Strands medical ICU consists of two 8 bed units, ICU One South and ICU Two South.
Our patients include, but are not limited to, cardiac, surgical, respiratory, and patients with complex neurological issues. Joint commission and partnered national institutes recognizes our MICU for our certifications in cardiac, sepsis, & stroke programs.
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Grand Strand Medical Center.
In collaboration with the patient, the patients family and other members of the health care team, the Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates treatment plans.
