RN-Clinical Nurse 2 Supervisor Primary Care Clinic
Under direct supervision, provide nursing care to patients. Duties include taking patient vitals, assisting in procedures, giving injections, administering medications, IV therapy, and accessing CVCs.
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing - BSN/MSN. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of California. Possession of an active CPR/BCLS card.
2 years or greater of Nursing experience, ambulatory setting preferred.
Skill in prioritizing assignments and managing multiple tasks.
Team building skills to include prior supervisor or lead experience.
Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed.
Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to physician.
Knowledge of symptomology of common and/or life threatening medical problems.
Working knowledge of instruments and supplies required to perform physical examinations and other routine clinical procedures.
Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians and staff in a diplomatic and professional manner in order to maximize operations.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team in order to provide effective patient care.
Skill in monitoring complex clinician appointment schedules.
Ability to effective elicit salient clinical information such as presenting complaints from patients and referring professionals and make appropriate assignments based on established guidelines.
Skill in listening perceptively, conveying awareness and responding to patients and visitors with health concerns using tact and discretion.
Skill in speaking clearly and distinctly in person and over the phone, using appropriate grammar and vocabulary in order to share information, effectively communicate, with persons from diverse social economic and cultural backgrounds. Ability to triage patient issues to achieve resolution.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work with sensitive and confidential information using judgment and discretion.
Ability to maintain equanimity in the face of resistance, indifference, and hostility.
Ability to accept directions from supervisors and act promptly
