Unit Director - Adult ICU
The Manager Functional Area is responsible for the fiscal, human resources, clinical, materials management, and communication operations of the nursing/outpatient units. The Manager Functional Area's professional role description is based on ANA's Nursing Administration's Scope of Standards and UCLA's Nursing Professional Practice Model.
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current, active California R.N. licensure. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a Master's Degree in a related field or MSN degree required. National Certification preferred, i.e.: AONE or ANCC
2- 3 years of progressive leadership required. 3 years or greater of ICU RN experience required.
Knowledge to manage disaster incidents, sentinel events and ability to problem solve with Critical Thinking Skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and knowledge of UCLA policies.
Skills in prioritizing.
Ability to assess, plan, intervene and evaluate.
Ability to inform and educate.
Knowledge of UCLA and Professional Standard.
