RN Clinical Nurse III Bowyer Oncology Infusion Ctr
Direct patient care duties for the Hematology/Oncology/Transplant patients requiring infusion. Other specialities include rheumatology, dermatology, immunology, etc. Infuisons include administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions, injectables and supportive care. The infusion center also manage the care of autologous transplant patients from conditioning, stem cell infusion to cell recovery. Nurses are collaborative team members to coordinate with multidisciplinary team to plan and satisfy care needs from a holistic view.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current active California RN licensure. Clinical skills applicable to nursing speciality, Oncology. Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral status assessments of patients using appropriate framework. Demonstrated skill in the delivery of patient care, utilizing team, and total, primary or fucntional systems. Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis. Writing skills to document accurately interventions and patient response. Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family and staff. Knowledge of POMR charting. Skill in setting priorities, organizing interventions and direct staff. Ability to work effectively with stress and in crisis situtations. Ability to comply with departmental standards on punctuality, attendance, dress codes, varied work schedules and nursing practices. Knowledge and practice in the proper use of safe body mechanics.

2 years or greater of oncology experience, required
2 years of chemotherapy infusion experience, preferred
Active chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification, required
