Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist
The Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist (CQIS) is responsible for leading and facilitating quality improvement and safety initiatives as content expert, performance improvement facilitator, educator, and consultant. In collaboration with physician and nursing leadership, residents, clinical staff, and administrative/ operational staff, the CQIS is a key leadership member of the clinical team who oversees the quality of care in order to achieve the best outcomes and patient experience. The CQIS incumbent will be responsible for data and event monitoring, peer review coordination, facilitation of QI efforts utilizing improvement methodologies such as Lean, and providing appropriate education to the provider teams that the incumbent is assigned to. This position will usually be focused vertically at the department and service line level, but can also be assigned to lead system-wide quality initiatives that impact multiple hospitals, service lines and other clinical areas.

California RN License preferred; BSN strongly preferred. Degree in related health field also accepted. Experience in providing In-Service education to ensure compliance, performing follow up audits and assistance with corrective action plans to providers and staff. Conduct Quality Management studies as needed.
