POSITION SUMMARY: Responds to alarms and interprets rhythms, alerts RN when indicated. Consistently and timely transcribes physician orders 100% of the time. Alerts RN to STAT and NOW orders. Consistently, accurately and timely, addressographs patients charts, sends charts to medical records after discharge, and adds chart forms as needed. Monitors all persons entering the unit, monitors unit phone, notifies appropriate staff member of any potential problem. . Utilizes charge nurse and resources to assist in decision-making process. Maintains a safe working environment, adheres to all hospital policies and procedures and reports problems or concerns to charge nurse or Manager.
