Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care – Critical Care Resuscitation Unit (CCRU)

The world renowned R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center provides challenging care of the most critically ill patients in Maryland. The Shock Trauma Center’s Critical Care Resuscitation Unit (CCRU) functions as a portal of entry into UMMC for transfer of the most critically ill patients needing immediate resuscitation, stabilization and advanced critical careas transports from many hospitals.

Diagnoses include but are not limited to Neuro, Surgical, Medical or Cardiac emergencies, Dissecting Aorta, Septic Shock and Multiple Organ Failure.

What You Need to Be Successful:

Experience Qualifications include:
-RN with minimum of 3-5 yrs. current Critical Care experience in at least a 12-16 bed Surgical, Neuro, Medical, Trauma or Cardiac ICU required. -Invasive monitoring experience required.
-Both BLS and ACLS required

Note: not able to consider ER experience as a replacement for ICU experience.

-Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred;
-Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to compact state requirements outlined by the Maryland Board of Nursing
