Position Description
The High Risk Infection Prevention Specialist position requires mastery in knowledge of the risk of infection in the Immunosuppressed Patient Population which includes neonates and transplant patients. This position requires independent critical thinking and excellent decision making skills which allow quick communication of findings with leadership and implementation of action plans. This High Risk Infection Prevention Specialist communicates with and directs leadership, staff, and physicians in processes to maintain and improve patient/staff safety and the prevention of transmission of infection.
Position Requirements
Required: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse. Certification in Infection Control (CIC). Operating Room or Surgical Experience. Five
(5) years Infection Prevention. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

License/Certification Requirements: Yes

Work Hours: 8a-4:30p

Weekend Requirements: No

On-Call Requirements: No
