As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Interpreting doctor's orders for the type of radiography and/or patient treatment
  • Instructing patients on procedures to be performed
  • Administering non-injectable contrast material for routine radiographs and observing for reaction
  • Setting up and operating stationary and mobile x-ray equipment
  • Processing and reviewing radiographs for quality

To qualify, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, graduate from an AMA approved radiography school, and have a current NYS license and ARRT certification. You must obtain a minimum of 24 Category A CME credits every two years. Knowledge of diagnostic, OR, CR, DR ER, and portables is required. One year of hospital experience preferred. BLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from only two organizations:

1. American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program

2. American Red Cross - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
