Tulane Medical Center is currently hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Cath Lab
The Registered Nurse
is a professional nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery and management of patient care. S/he utilizes the nursing process, the healthcare environment, and current technology to provide a climate which optimizes patient care and staff development.
Primary Job Duties:
Utilizes the nursing process consistently in provision of care to assigned group of patients.
Formulates and documents educational plans for each patient/caller following department-specific guidelines.
Applies knowledge of growth and development in customer/patient interactions, treatment, and referral process.
Processes patient and physician appointment scheduling requests.
Answers and processes customer service calls as required.
Enters and documents calls into database systems.
Performs and documents outbound calls for follow-up, patient satisfaction surveys, and other service utilization studies.
Performs various statistic and clerical functions in support of department operations.
