Admissions Nurse RN
Capitol Lakes, a continuing care retirement community in the heart of downtown Madison, has an opening for a part time (36 hours per week) Admission Nurse on second shift - 10:30 AM - 7 PM. From 2 PM onward, this position wouldbe eligible for an evening differential - $0.85/hr.The Admission Nurse is responsible for assuring new residents in our skilled nursing facility have a seamless, coordinated and customer service oriented admission completed according to Nursing Standards of Practice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for admitting new residents, meeting resident needs and ensuring Resident Rights are maintained and provide for a safe and comfortable environment. Completes all admission requirements according to facility Policy and Procedure, accurately and efficiently. Gives report to appropriate personnel assigned to manage the resident care during their stay.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
One year of experience with admissions in a long-term care setting preferred. Must have current Wisconsin Registered Nurse and hold current CPR certification. The successful candidate will have knowledge and ability to relate to rehabilitation and elderly residents, effectively communicate with residents, families and Health Care Representatives; possess exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multi-task. Must possess the ability to work independently and make sound judgments concerning all aspects of resident care.Company Description
