RN Shift Care Coordinator
3 Main is a 21 bed surgical unit. Nurses working this unit have stated, “I have learned so many different skills and get to see so much”. Surgical procedures that 3 Main cares for frequently include but not limited to cholycystectomies, appendectomies, mastectomies and thyroidectomies. When caring for these patients, RNs will work often with wound vacs, JP drains, trachs, colostomies, chest tubes and NG tubes. Nurse to patient ratios are 1:6 and patients often compliment 3 Main staff. “The staff were good about explaining things to me and reassuring me that they as well as the doctor doing my procedure was going to take good care of me and they have done just that.”
This position will work (3) 12 hour shifts per week on dayshift, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator
leads a designated shift of nursing staff on an assigned unit. The RN Clinical Coordinator promotes excellent patient care on the unit, through utilization of staff and coordination of patient care assignments. The Coordinator is responsible for some patient care as well as being a resource for all the nursing and nursing support team members.
