Position Description
The Value Based Physicians Practice Education Specialist works to develop improvement strategies to achieve physician clinical quality aims and to influence externally reported practitioner data. Works with the leadership team to define and prioritize improvement opportunities as well as identify strategies to improve performance on safety, clinical performance, and quality metrics. Assist in analysis of physician quality data to identify areas for improvement while ensuring ongoing education and communication about activities, responsibilities, successes, and problems.

Position Requirements
REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school and must maintain a current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia (OR) Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Minimum three years demonstrated experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
  • Strong analytical and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and meet required deadlines.
  • Presentation and group leadership skills required.
  • Knowledgeable in word processing, spreadsheet and power point software and development of presentations required.
  • High degree of personal initiative.
  • Ability to perform basic data and workflow analysis.
  • Ability to engage with and motivate diverse work teams (physicians, nurses, CMA, and office/support personnel).
  • Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) (OR) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

  • PREFERRED:
  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school and must maintain a current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
  • Certification in CMQ, CPHQ, or other quality improvement methodology.
  • Previous experience in a Physician office setting.
  • Previous experience in quality or process improvement role.
