Position Description
As the Practice Manager (Clinic Supervisor) you are responsible for managing day to day operations of the outpatient Infusion Center. The Practice Manager oversees a team of RNs, LPNs, Medical Technologists, Patient Service Representatives and other necessary staff. Day to day accountabilities include managing patient flow through the clinic, staff scheduling, and addressing patient care or staff member concerns. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 3 years prior leadership experience, in the inpatient or outpatient setting, and be well versed in providing direct patient care.

In addition to management responsibilities the Practice Manager will demonstrate strong professional communication skills and be comfortable communicating with Providers, and C-Level executives. The Practice Manager should have strong customer service, negotiation and problem solving skills. The Practice Manager will ensure compliance with all clinical best practices and organizational policies and procedures. Practice Managers participate in the interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new employees, new and existing employee education and administer the progressive discipline policy, as necessary.

Practice Managers should demonstrate understanding of ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding and will perform audits on a regular basis. The Practice Manager will use the results of the audits to monitor clinic/practice performance and use the information for quality improvement and assurance.

Position Requirements
Required: College degree with three to five years of healthcare management experience and operational expertise, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred: Knowledge of Healthcare administration . Knowledge of human resource management including supervision and staff development. Knowledge of computer systems and applications. Knowledge and understanding of ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding. Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, and decision- making. Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with physician, coworkers, staff, patients, and others as needed. Ability to communicate clearly. Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and direct the work of others. Exhibits skill set for effective leadership including communication expertise, disciplinary skills and coping management through past experience for exhibited performance.
