Cartersville is seeking a Patient and Family Care Coordinator - Surgical Services 
to work Full-Time.

Shift:  6:00 am - 2:30 pm


Position Responsibilities:

  • Must smile and make eye contact. 

  • The Patient/Family Care Coordinator performs all patient care functions which are supportive of the nursing process for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population for which educational background has provided necessary skills. 

  • Performs functions under the direction of an RN in an organized fashion, including handling basic clinical tasks such as performing vital signs.

  • Responsible for meeting the established policies/standards of practice for this facility. 

  • Daily use of analytical and decision-making skills. 

  • Collaborates with the patient, patients family, and the health care team to promote organization of the patients admission to the holding area and promotes ongoing communication between patients families and the healthcare team during the perioperative phase. 

  • Demonstrates reliability and utilizes cost effective measures. 

  • Utilizes effective communication skills and interacts with others in a courteous manner. 

  • Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. 

  • Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. 

  • Promotes a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment. 

  • Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of CMC. 

  • Promotes and maintains patient safety standards and patient confidentiality.
