Registered Nurse (RN)  - Pediatric Emergency Department

The Pediatric Emergency Department
- provides emergency and urgent care services from 8 A.M. until Midnight.  The care rendered reflects the availability of services provided by Kingwood Medical Center.  The Pediatric Emergency Department is equipped with ambulatory patient access, and has 8 patient care treatment rooms. 

The services provided by the Emergency Department include, but are not limited to:

  • Nursing triage and assessment procedures
  • Pediatric emergency care and management
  • Orthopedic emergency care, management and procedures
  • Ear, nose and throat basic care, management and procedures
  • General medical emergency care, management and procedures
  • Trauma stabilization, wound care, suturing, and related management
  • Medications and intravenous fluid administration
  • Illness care and management

is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) -Pediatric Emergency Department.



  • The Pediatric Emergency RN is responsible for coordinating the nursing care of pediatric patients presenting to the ED in order to provide safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
  • Employee will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the neonate, infant, adolescent, and adult population.
  • Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
  • Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
  • Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
  • Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
  • Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
  • Displays the mission of the hospital and its values.
