POSITION SUMMARY

The RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and supervises individual patient care on a nursing unit, according to patient care standards and guidelines, while maintaining standards of the State Nurse Practice Act to promote/restore the optimal health and well-being of the patient.  Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating and collaborating with the team to identify and meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient.  Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission, core and SHARE values. 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • RN New Grads with a hire date on or after 9/1/2014 must have a BSN or be currently enrolled in a BSN bridge program. Completion of a BSN must occur within three years of hire date.

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

  • BSN Preferred.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • One year experience preferred.

  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Current Colorado RN license/ Current RN license from a participating state in National Licensure Compact.

  • Current  BLS certification from American Heart Association.

  • ACLS required upon hire.

  • PAL required upon hire.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly.
