General Summary: Leverage current client relationships and establish new partnerships with physicians, hospitals, clinics and rehabilitation facilities, which result in patient admissions.

Essential Functions:

  • Initiate and maintain healthcare contacts within assigned territory. Maintain daily contact with key hospital departments, physicians and their staff, discharge planners, social workers, and community representatives. Provide educational material concerning home care guidelines, Company services, and how the Company can assist their patients.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with senior associates, community representatives, and area health care facilities. Discuss and share new developments in home care.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with employees of the Company to ensure the needs of the community and the health care staff are being met.
  • Assist in the development of new services, processes, or procedures to meet the needs or improve upon patient care. Assist in developing/updating community education material.
  • Assist in developing and conducting yearly community education plans with appropriate financial resources.
  • Provide timely, accurate completion of reports, worksheets, and information as requested.
  • Maintain a monthly sales budget.
  • Comply with all aspects of the Company’s Compliance Program and HIPAA regulations.
  • Provides effective communication to clients, their families, team members, and other health care professionals.
  • Demonstrates commitment and professional growth by participating in in-service programs and maintaining/improving competency.
  • Meet mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board.
  • Promote the company philosophy and administrative policies.

    Requirements

    Experience: At least two (2) years of total progressive sales experience. Healthcare experience preferred.

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

    Licensure/Certification:

  • Current driver’s license in good standing.
  • It is the responsibility of the employee to renew their driver’s license before it expires in order to continue employment.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking required.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times.
  • Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and Company needs.
  • Environmental/Working Conditions:

  • Works primarily in an office environment and out in the community.
  • Available to agency personnel in person or by telephone during the agency operating hours and possibly after hours for emergencies.
  • Some exposure to unpleasant weather.
  • Heavy amount of travel required.
  • Machinery/Tools/Equipment Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation and auto liability insurance.
