  We have an immediate opportunity for a Marketing Specialist.

General Summary: The Marketing Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining a professional relationship with key referral sources within LifeCare’s referring entities and others, as needed. This position will cover the Raleigh, Wake Medical, Rex Hospital, and Wake Med Cary hospitals. Through the development of relationships, they generate patient referrals from their assigned accounts. They are responsible for meeting their volume expectations for referrals. The Marketing Specialist develops relationships with referral sources that directly refer and influence patient referrals. The Marketing Specialist develops strategic plans to effectively manage their accounts and expands into new accounts as assigned.

Essential Functions:
  • Consistently meets their appropriate LTACH referral goals as defined by the Director of Business Development.
  • Demonstrates the relationship development and sales skills required to develop long term relationships that effectively generate patient referrals and admissions. Delivers professional presentations to groups of referral sources on LifeCare and the services we provide. Participates in community organizations that directly impact LifeCare’s referral sources and patient population.
  • Represents LifeCare in a positive, professional and accurate way that demonstrates the Company’s mission statement.
  • Utilizes an Account Management System/Outlook to manage accounts and develops 90 day marketing plans for the assigned territory that clearly outlines tactics and strategies required to meet referral goals as determined by the Director of Business Development.
  • Maintains and effectively grows in-depth referral source relationships.
  • The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the position requirements are demonstrated through the successful completion of competencies established for the position, to include population served, and other special needs of patients or customers served by the department.
  • Adheres to LifeCare policies, procedures, all safety plans, and all standards imposed by regulatory organizations.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness is required.

Requirements

Experience: Two years of proven successful sales/marketing experience required in a healthcare related field or as a pharmaceutical or medical device sales representative. Must be social media savvy and a customer advocate.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred.
