Position Description
The Research Data Specialist (RDS) is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of clinical research subject Case Report Forms (CRF) and data queries. The RDS supports the clinical research team of the Northside Hospital Research Program. Responsibilities involve patient registration, data management, adverse event reporting, maintenance of a Clinical Trials Management System, and other activities related to research. The RDS works closely with the Clinical Research Nurses (CRN) and Clinical Research Coordinators (CRC) to complete all data-related tasks. The RDS serves as a resource for the clinical research team regarding all aspects of data management to achieve optimal research outcomes.
Position Requirements
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent plus relevant healthcare work experience. Knowledge of research practices, medical documentation, completion of Case Report Forms (CRFs) and regulatory requirements. Possesses basic clinical knowledge and/or experience. Knowledgeable in medical terminology. Self-starter, takes initiative, anticipates needs. Works well independently as well as within a team. Ability to multi-task, maintain multiple assignments and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate with a variety of medical professionals. Possesses strong written communication skills, proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. Strong organizational skills. Strong computer skills.

License/Certification Requirements: No
