UM St Joseph Medical Center is currently seeking an Access Care Manager (RN Required) for our Emergancy Department.

This is an As Needed Weekend shift. (estimated 2 weekends/month - 7a-3:30p OR 3p-11:30p)
  • The Access Care Manager is responsible for applying medical necessity criteria to patients entering the hospital from all points of access to ensure appropriate level care assignment to include admission, observation or discharge.
  • The Access Case Manager adheres to compliance in delivery of observation notifications. Conducts initial utilization reviews, assessments and discharge planning.

What You Need to Be Successful:

Education
  • 2 year / Associate's Degree: Nursing (Required)
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree: Nursing (Preferred)

Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Certification / Licensure / Registration
  • State Registered Nurse License (Required) CCN (Preferred)

Experience and Skills
  • 2 - 4 years Clinical Healthcare (Required)
  • 2 - 4 years UR or CM with working knowledge of InterQual or Milliman. (Required) 4 - 6 years Acute Hospital (Preferred)
  • 4 - 6 years UR or Care Management (Preferred)
