  NYU Langone Hosital- Brooklyn is a full-service teaching hospital and Level I trauma center located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The medical center is central to a comprehensive network of affiliated ambulatory and outpatient practices, and serves as NYU Langone Medical Center's anchor for healthcare access, growth, and delivery in the entire borough.
Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Health Initiatives Coordinator.

In this role, the successful candidate To coordinate administrative and programmatic activities with coalition congregations and others participating in the South Brooklyn Interfaith Coalition for health and wellness. (SBICHW), a faith/health partnership with NYU Langone Health.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and implementing programs/events for clergy and congregations, introducing them to congregational health ministry, faith/health partnering, and the mission of the SBICHW, including production/assemblage of educational materials
  • Identify and attend local ministerial associations and appropriate community and faith-based networks
  • Assist in the formation process of congregational committees/cabinets, including the yoking and partnering of such committees/cabinets
  • Administratively and programmatically link congregations with appropriate health-promotion/intervention resources throughout the NYU Lutheran system
  • Coordinate production and distribution of health care promotion/education materials, such as newsletters, brochures, DVSs announcements, and a coalition website
  • None

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing- BSN preferred
NY State RN license required
3-5 years professional experience in nursing- ministry or social work
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual , Spanish, Chinese
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
