Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department for our NEW SEASONAL PROGRAM to join our team in Wilmington, DE.

As part of the Seasonal Program, you will:
  • Work 1.0 FTE from May through September
  • Summer months off
  • Shift based on department need
  • Every third weekend, every other holiday — exempt from July 4th holiday
  • Benefit coverage year-round with altered schedule for benefits deduction
  • Stipend offered to sign on
  • Onboard ASAP to orient prior to September
  • 1-year commitment

We recently completed a multi-phase hospital expansion that includes new inpatient rooms, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department. Additionally, Nemours duPont Pediatrics allows us to reach more children across the region through community-based physician services and collaborative partnerships with health and hospital systems.

The Emergency Department is a Level I Trauma Center caring for patients under the age of 18 presenting with a variety of illnesses and injuries. Patients are admitted without regard to race, religion, place of national origin, or ability to pay. The average monthly census is approximately 3900 patients. The department is composed of 17 monitored emergency treatment rooms, a 6-bed Fast Track area handling non-urgent patients during defined hours, and a 6-bed monitored observation area. All basic and advanced emergency life support equipment and supplies are maintained within specific rooms and within the department. Requirements
  • You must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Experienced nurse is required.
  • Pediatric or ED experience preferred.
  • Must be eligible for Delaware state license (or compact license).
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • CPR certrification with the American Heart Association required.
