  NYU Langone Hospitals- Brooklyn is a full-service teaching hospital and Level I trauma center located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The medical center is central to a comprehensive network of affiliated ambulatory and outpatient practices, and serves as NYU Langone Medical Center's anchor for healthcare access, growth, and delivery in the entire borough.
Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Care Coordinator.

In this role, the successful candidate Ensures quality nursing care for patients
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assumes responsibility for the quality of nursing care within patient care services on an eight-hour basis.
  • Conducts unit rounds regularly to proactively identify and address Clinical & Patient Safety issues
  • Functions as a role model for staff, demonstrates clinical & leadership competency, and computer skills (Microsoft word, outlook, Midas, vista (CPOE), etc.
  • Demonstrates clinical judgment & customer service.
  • Demonstrates professional behavior & effective communication skills.
  • Encourages problem-solving approaches for the complex patient, family issues. Recommends appropriate strategies for conflict & conflict resolution.
  • Timely identifies, responds and resolves clinical problems appropriately.
  • Assists in the development, interpretation, and implementation of evidence base nursing standards of practice.
  • Role model and maintains healthy work environment.
  • Promotes safety and risk-free environment for patients and staff.
  • Acts as a resource for staff for ethical/legal issues and make appropriate referrals.
  • Responds to staff and physician needs using a customer service approach; identifies and implements solutions by effectively communicating & collaborating with other members of the health team
  • Assists in the development, interpretation, and implementation of evidence base nursing standards of practice.
  • Interprets implements and enforces hospital policies and procedures. Makes recommendations using evidence base practice for change as needed.
  • Communicates and collaborates with NMs in following up a plan to improve staff

Minimum Qualifications:
NY State RN license
BSN required, MSN preferred
5 years relevant Nursing experience required
Previous leadership experience or one year supervisory experience required.
BLS required
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
