Service Area Overview
Extraordinary in an emergency

When time is of the essence, neighbors turn to Northside Hospital.

We offer state-of-the-art 24/7 Emergency Services to any medical, surgical, or obstetrical patient at each of our three hospitals --- Atlanta, Cherokee, and Forsyth. More than 137,000 emergency patients are treated annually across Northside’s three campuses.

Here, patients are treated quickly and confidently by a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Each location offers private triage areas and comfortable treatment rooms.
Patients benefit from little to no waiting room wait times, with most seeing an emergency provider within 30 minutes of arrival.

Many of our emergency service patients are treated and discharged, often in less than two hours. In instances when triage has determined that an injury is less severe, patients are fast-tracked to a
registered nurse, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner for treatment in HealthExpress --- making their emergency visit easier and faster.
