The Clinical Educator provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, preceptor for Primary Care PACE , and Medical Management He/She is under the supervision of the Clinical Education Supervisor and supports the development of all Allied Health staff (including Medical Assistants, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Registered Nurses) and fosters empowerment through knowledge resulting in first class delivery of health services and excellent patient satisfaction. This occurs through the facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education and leadership development. In addition, as a role model of professional behavior, this position is instrumental in creating a professional clinical climate to meet the needs of the diverse units within AltaMed.
- LVN Certification required and Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an adult care setting required coupled with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a License Vocational Nurse, Registered Nurse License preferred.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred.
