Position Description
The Unit Secretary of the 36 bed Bone Marrow Transplant unit will be responsible for performing general clerical and reception duties according to needs of patient unit or department. Position is characterized by preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering information into computerized patient care system. This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining high standards and achieving the best possible outcome for patients. Works with patients of all age groups except neonate.

Position Requirements
One (1) year previous experience in a patient care, or any hospital clerical position or equivalent combination of education & experience. Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to type. Demonstrates basic computer skills.

License/Certification Requirements: No
