Patient Care Director – RN – Acute General Medicine Unit

As a Patient Care Director of this 36-bed monitored high acuity General Medicine Unit, you'll manage the daily operations and delivery of care for a wide variety of cases, ranging from adult inpatients requiring Hepatobiliary surgical care, Peritoneal Dialysis, and other specialty services.

As a leader you’ll mentor and evaluate the team to reach their full potential and inspire their continued professional growth. You’ll foster independent thinking defined by the hospital-wide mission Putting Patients First. Excel as a change agent, advancing initiatives focused on enhancing quality and performance throughout the unit and enhancing the patient experience. Develop and manage budgets, manage resource allocation and scheduling.

Preferred Criteria

  • Five years' of management experience within a large academic medical center
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing staff and driving strategic initiatives
Required Criteria

  • At least two years’ of management experience
  • Three years' of clinical experience in a medical unit
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or health related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current NYS RN licensure (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
