This round of our Labor & Delivery Residency is open to both New Graduate RN's and Experienced RN's looking to gain experience and training in L&D. This is a 20 week residency that will begin April 16th, 2018.

Northside Hospital Labor and Delivery is comprised of labor/delivery/recovery rooms, pre-op rooms, observation rooms, operating rooms and recovery PACU rooms. Labor and Delivery provides a wide range of full patient care services to low and high risk pregnant women of childbearing age. These services include low and high risk antepartum inpatient and outpatient care, intrapartum care, associated services, initial newborn care, immediate postpartum and/or surgical recovery.

Labor and Delivery has:
  • 12 Labor and Delivery/Recovery Beds
  • 7 High-Risk Pregnancy Beds
  • 2 Pre-Operative Beds
  • 3 ORS
  • 6 bed PACU

Skilled patient care is provided in a Family Centered atmosphere with an emphasis on the care of the woman during pregnancy, labor, and immediate postpartum care and immediate stabilization of the newborn following delivery. Our care extends beyond the traditional family to adoptions and surrogacies with protocols in place to ensure optimal care for everyone.

Position Description
The Value Based Clinical Operations Coordinator, under the direction of the Director of Value Based Clinical Care, will coordinate physician quality contract metrics, PQRS and physician value based purchasing metric selection, abstraction, and reporting. Oversees the evaluation of existing and potential data sources to support quality clinical data and to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the data collection, analysis, and display/reporting process. The Value Based Clinical Operations Coordinator works with IT, EMR and Software companies to develop interfaces and reporting capabilities.

Position Requirements
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification for specific specialty area(s); Examples: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, etc. See specific unit for requirement.

License/Certification Requirements: Yes

Work Hours: 7p-7a

Weekend Requirements: Yes
