Service Area Overview
Northside Hospital offers state-of-the-art Women’s Centers focusing on women’s health and wellness. Designed to care for a woman throughout her life – from preconception and childbirth to midlife and beyond - the Center specializes in GYN, cancer care and surgical services. Position Description
The Special Care Nursery RN leads the care team in providing appropriate care for the neonate in order to achieve best possible outcomes for the patient. The Special Care Nursery RN interacts with Neonatologists, Respiratory Therapists, Lactation Consultants, Pharmacists and Nutritionists, among other specialties, to communicate necessary information about the neonates care. The Special Care nursery RN works as an integral part of a team providing both clinical and emotional support to the neonates and their families.

Position Requirements
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to the Special Care Nursery. At least 1 year of Experience working in a Level III NICU or Nursery. Certified in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Newborn Resuscitation ( NRP).

License/Certification Requirements: Yes

Work Hours: 7p-7a

Weekend Requirements: Yes

On-Call Requirements: No
