Position Description
Manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the appropriate division. Nurses at Northside are professionals committed to patients/families and all members of the Healthcare team. Our nursing practice reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Will practice in an expanding 16 bed Inpatient Oncology floor. Strong team approach with excellent support, ratio’s.

  • We now offer Gamma Knife technology, the latest treatment for malignant and benign brain tumors and functional and vascular disorders.

We are fully accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC), and one of only 10 hospitals in the country to receive the CoC’s Outstanding Achievement Award for four consecutive years.

Position Requirements
Required: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to designated area within probationary period. Certified in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). In addition to the above, the following is preferred for departments listed below:Prior Oncology or Medical Surgical expiernece strongly preferred, qualified candidates will have 1 year of prior acute care experience and a passion for working with cancer patients.

License/Certification Requirements: Yes

Work Hours: 7am - 7pm

Weekend Requirements: Yes

On-Call Requirements: No
