The Quality and Patient Safety Coordinator position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana



Job Duties


Develop and facilitate the Emergency Department's quality and patient safety program utilizing advance evidence and effectiveness based practice standards in Emergency Medicine and Nursing


Support the health system's licensure, compliance and accreditation process





Minimum of two years clinical experience in acute care hospital setting.  Previous experience in emergency nursing, critical care nursing or relevant clinical nursing is required





Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or willing to obtain Bachelor's within 5 years of assuming the role





Current Indiana State registered Nurse license (RN)





Analytical skills, Project Management skills, Statistical analysis skills

Knowledge of Emergency Nursing Practice Standards, the Joint Commission Standards, Indiana Department of Health Standards

Experience in quality improvement, utilization review and/or statistical analysis in hospital environment

Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows and able to input data and extract reports from web based programs related to core measures is required

Certified Professional in Health Care Quality (CPHQ) required or must attain within two years of employment
