We are also one of the recipients of the VA Choice Program contract for home health and skilled care nursing in the Washington Metro area and across the country.
Prestige Healthcare Resources was founded in 2009 by health care personnel who responded to the needs of the community for quality homecare and other community based services which were accessible to the residents of District of Columbia and Maryland. Effective, efficient and quality services were envisioned by our founders and are the essence of PHRI.
Telemetry nurses work with patients that require special monitoring, including those recently released from the intensive care unit of a hospital. The patients they work with are often at high risk for complications, so RNs in a telemetry unit must carefully review equipment and data to detect potential symptoms of distress or danger.
A career as a telemetry nurse requires advanced medical knowledge, technical expertise, compassion and strong interpersonal skills to care for patients who may have life-threatening conditions
constant monitoring and care
Telemetry nurses review data from special equipment to track a patients heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and other vitals.
carry out more traditional nursing duties such as administering medications and communicating with patients regarding their condition.
Since most of the patients in a telemetry unit have suffered heart attacks or are recovering from cardiac surgery, some RNs specialize in cardiac telemetry and are proficient in the use of electrocardiogram equipment.

Providing compassion and care isnt just our profession at Prestige Healthcare Resources. Its our passion, and its our culture.
That starts from the top. Our founder, John S. Smith came to the U.S. from the war-torn African nation of Liberia. Shortly after arriving, he was badly injured in a job-related accident. After having emergency surgery, he received such wonderful care, he decided to provide that same quality healthcare to others and became a registered nurse.
Thats a big difference between Prestige and other home care providers. Many are run like bottom-line businesses, owned by people with no healthcare background. Some are even local franchises of a national company.
Youll find Johns passion throughout the people of Prestige. Its a culture of caring. We are looking for talent like you to join our dynamic professional team
