Educator Registered Nurse

Position Summary

The Educator is responsible for coordination and execution of all orientation and training programs for clinical field staff. Responsible for developing training materials for orientation and in-house continuing education and in-service requirements. Maintains learning management system (LMS) and monitors employee progress while updating Supervising Nurse / Clinical coordinator / Director of Nursing throughout orientation process. Performs field visits with staff as needed to enhance learning. Participates on the team to open and train new offices.

Primary Responsibility & Duties

  • Manage the scheduling and delivery of training for new and existing staff.

  • Deliver both formal and informal on-the-job, classroom, virtual, and computer-based training

  • Maintain existing training programs and update materials as needed

  • Conduct training needs assessments and developing curriculum of new programs

  • Act as a resource for process resolutions involving clinical information systems

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Ability to travel in state and out of state as needed

Position Requirements

  • Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Oklahoma, BSN preferred

  • Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience; at least one year in home health nursing.

  • Knowledge of clinical tasks, processes and workflow, medical records administration, and the related documentation techniques and practices used in a healthcare environment

  • Demonstrated experience with tools, technology, and systems typically found within most healthcare environments (i.e. personal computer skills, spreadsheets, word processing, patient record systems, EMR systems, etc).
