SUMMARY:

The Labor & Delivery Unit (3800) at Rochester General Hospital is a 16 bed unit, with an additional 8 bed triage.   Over 2,200 deliveries annually.  Nurses will care for patients during labor and delivery, pregnancy, high risk pregnancy & post partum recovery and will provide basic newborn care & high risk newborn care.

SCHEDULE:          Day/Evening/Night, Every Other Weekend/Holiday

ATTRIBUTES
  • Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license in New York State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 1+ years of RN experience preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Patient Satisfaction. Solicit and respond to patient feedback to improve service and processes that will enhance the patient experience
  • Medication Administration & Reporting. Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal
  • Documentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete patient care documentation using computerized medical record process
