Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) is a tertiary referral center for children with orthopedic problems from birth to eighteen years of age. TSRHC is a national and world renowned Hospital for its Centers of Excellence in Scoliosis, Clubfeet, Hip, Limb Lengthening, Congenital Hand Disorders and Sports Medicine. TSRHC is also an academic medical center affiliated with the University of Texas Southwestern Dallas in training orthopedic residents and fellows. The Hospital is also affiliated with over 60 universities training nursing and allied health professionals. TSRHC is seeking a forward thinking leader interested in becoming a key part our world renowned team that treats children with complex orthopedic surgical conditions. This position collaborates with the medical and departmental staff to identify future opportunities, define the direction of the Surgical Services Department, develop and implement plans to achieve established goals, including efficiency, productivity and the quality of care.  Develops and sustains an environment that supports excellence and innovation in practice and patient care for the clinical and non-clinical staff that leads to and supports positive patient outcomes. Establishes and maintains a positive customer service environment that supports patients, families, staff and physicians. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and hold a current Texas RN license or is eligible for a temporary permit. Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field required  with five yearsvaried and progressive surgical services experience and/or management experience with an increasing level of administrative responsibility and authority. Current BLS, PALS and a Certification in Operating Room Nursing (CNOR) required.
